Starting in 2025, you will begin to see the UKM stamp on products made in our UK factories. This mark signifies our commitment to supporting local manufacturing. As one of the UK’s largest food manufacturing businesses, we operate 10 sites across the country and employ almost 3,000 people.
Made in the UK doesn’t mean that all the raw materials and ingredients we use to make our food and drink are from the UK. As industries have evolved, some countries specialise in supplying raw materials to businesses like Princes, so they are available 365 days a year at prices affordable to all. Climate plays a part too – our Napolina tomatoes will always be 100% Italian, and tuna is a tropical species, so it isn’t going to be available from UK waters any time soon. But what UKM does mean is that when you are choosing UK-made products, you are helping to sustain our families, friends, and neighbours, while contributing to the local and national economy through employment and taxation.
